Not every cabbage soup is created for people following a cabbage soup diet. Although cabbage is very low in calories, some cabbage soups are packed with calories.
A cream-based soup, for instance, is going to have plenty of calories.
When you look at different recipes, you should see how diet friendly they are. Find the kinds of recipes that will aid you in your diet.
Basically, you just want to avoid recipes that use any ingredients that will cause trouble for you, and throw off your weight loss goals.
Look for Low Sodium
When you look at different cabbage soup recipes, you should check to see how much sodium they contain. In many cases, soup recipes contain a lot of sodium.
Going over the daily recommended allowance for sodium could sabotage your weight loss efforts.
