If I had to go with just one on the list, I would recommend giving Atkins (read about it here) a look – It’s pretty similar to the ketogenic diet, but offers more of a long-term plan that you can follow.

Basically, though, you’re going to be restricting your carbs, while eating plenty of Atkins-approved veggies, proteins, and other healthy foods.

There are number of reasons that I really like Atkins, including:

  • It’s Easy to Follow: In the most basic sense, you just limit your net carbs to around 30 grams per day, and you’re pretty much good to go. Basically, cut out bread, pasta, sugar, and you’re on the path to getting started.
  • You Can Lose a Lot of Weight Fast: If you’re in the morbidly BMI range, there’s a pretty good chance you have a lot weight that you need to lose. From my experience, low carb diets like Atkins have been the fast way to lose weight, but that won’t necessarily hold true for everyone.

What About Exercise?

You should perform about 150-250 minutes of moderate intensity exercises a week. Fast walking and swimming are some of the best exercises for this purpose.

Focus on nutrient dense and low-calorie foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grain. Avoid saturated fats, sweets, and alcohol as much as possible. E

at three regular meals with limited snacking. Monitor your weight on a regular basis and be consistent with what you do to lose weight effectively.

This will increase your chances of long term success.
