Niagen has gained popularity recently as a supplement that helps prevent many of the side effects associated with aging – but does it actually work?
In this review, we will take an inside look at Niagen, AKA, Nicotinamide Riboside, to examine what benefits, if any, it provides, and whether or not you can expect any side effects when taking this supplement.
What is Niagen?
In scientific terms nicotinamide, riboside is a form of the B3 vitamin, that works a precursor to NAD+, also known as adenine dinucleotide.

That said, is this going to magically cure severe memory problems, or serious brain defects?
The answer to that has to be “no”, but the only way to know how well it will work for you is to consult with your doctor before taking it.

In one study, published in 2007, pointed out that Niagen could be used as a safe way to increase NAD+ in your body, without any known side-effects.
It is also worth pointing out that nicotinamide riboside occurs naturally in your body, and is even found in drinks like beer and milk.
