Nutrisystem at Walmart [2018] Where to Buy the 5 Day Weight Loss Kit

Nutrisystem is one of the most popular meal delivery diet programs available today, and it is most commonly purchased online at the official Nutrisystem website. It can be purchased in other locations, however, including the mega-retailer Walmart. The meal plans offered at Walmart are going to be slightly different than what you can purchase directly from Nutrisystem, but they should still help you accomplish the same goal – losing weight and setting yourself up for long-term success. With this factors in mind, let’s take a look at what exactly you’re getting when purchasing Nutrisystem at a Walmart store or on their website.

The Nutrisystem Everday 5 Day Weight Loss Kit

Walmart currently offers Nutrisystem “kits”. So as opposed to buying a whole month’s worth of food from Nutrisystem, you can get kits on a weekly basis. This may be a good option for those of you who don’t want to commit to an entire month’s worth of food, or like the idea of taking things on a week-by-week basis. One thing to keep in mind is that Nutrisystem also offers these kits on their website, in their “A-la-carte” section, so you may have more options to choose from on their website, however, Walmart can still be a good option as well.

The kits come in a few different options including protein-focused, diabetic, and their standard Everyday version. The kit you choose will be up to you, but it’s good to know that they have some variety, and there are enough options to meet the needs of most folks.

What’s in the Weight Loss Kits?

The Kits are set up to provide you enough meals for a 5-day week, while still eating dinner with your friends or family. This means each kit includes 5 pre-made breakfast options, 5 lunches, and 5 different snacks to choose from. So, Nutrisystem will have your meals covered for most of the day, over a 5-day period.

While you still get to eat dinner with your family, you will need to stay on track and feast on healthy meals when not using the food Nutrisystem provides. Fortunately, the kits also include a recipe guide for the dinners you’ll be preparing, a food journal, and full access to Nutrisystem’s counseling service.

With the kit you will be eating 6 smalls meals per day, including some fresh produce and other grocery items that you will have to supply. Either way, they’re designed to help you lose weight, and provide a full guide that shows you exactly how to eat healthy when not indulging in the pre-made Nutrisystem meals and snacks that come in the kit.

How Much Do the Kits Cost?

PRICE: Starting at $24.98

I’ve seen various prices for these kits when searching online, including options on eBay. Personally, I would stick with options like Walmart or purchase directly from the Nutrisystem website, just to ensure that what you are buying is authentic and fresh. With a baseline price starting under

With a baseline price starting under $25, these kits are a pretty great deal, when compared to what you’d probably spend on your typical trip to the grocery store. The cost can go up, however, depending on which kit you go with:

  • Diabetic Kit: $44.98
  • Protein-Powered Kit: $46.24

Either way, though, they’re still a great deal, and if you’ve been struggling to lose weight, they have a proven track record of success.

What Else Does Walmart Offer?

In addition to the 5-day kits, Walmart also offers a broad selection of other Nutrisystem products. These include things like their Turbo and NutriCrish Shakes, individual meal options (breakfast, lunch, dinner), bars, and desserts. So, in a sense, they also have an a-la-carte menu to choose from. As far as I know, the Nutrisystem kits and other menu items have to be purchased online, but you can have them shipped directly to your home or to your nearest Walmart store.

If you want to commit to Nutrisystem for slightly longer than 5 days, but don’t want to get locked into a full month, then the 14-day starter program may be the right choice for you. Obviously, these kits are going to include more food than the 5-day versions, but just like the other kits, you get full access to the Nutrisystem counseling program. At less than $3 per meal, these kits are a great value and can help get you on the fast track to sustained weight loss.

The kits include:

  • 14 Breakfasts
  • 14 Lunches
  • 14 Dinners
  • 14 Desserts
  • Free online membership
  • Access to weight loss coaches

To buy these kits you can buy a special card from Walmart, and then they can be redeemed on the official Nutrisystem website. They typically arrive at your home within about 4 to 10 days after you make the purchase.

To Kit or Not to Kit?

These 5-day kits are a great option for anyone who wants to jump into the Nutrisystem diet plan, without committing to a full month’s worth of food. They can easily be purchased at WalMart for less than $30, and they’re even offering free 2-day shipping on them right now. If you’re interested in learning more about the kits, check out the official Walmart website.

With all of this in mind, I personally think the best and easiest route to go is to sign up for a plan directly through Nutrisystem – especially if you have more than 10 pounds to lose. While the $29 price tag for the kits is enticing, the system is going to function a lot more smoothly when you get all of your food for the month in one shipment directly from Nutrisystem.

Nutrisystem is also currently offering their “My Way” plans, which allows you to prepare meals for you and your family at dinner time or on the weekends. These are a lot like the kits, but rather than only getting a 5 day supply of food, you’re set for the whole month, which makes a lot more sense to me if you’re serious about losing weight.
